This is a story about one of those places. In my school, Friday was the best day of the week for one specific reason. The last period on Friday was library. Not because I was a particularly studious child — I was curious more than studious, which is a different thing entirely — but because Friday library meant the next two days were free, and because the library at the end of a Friday felt like a different kind of space than it did on other days. Quieter. Slower. Like the weekend had already begun inside it. I would go to the general knowledge section.
